February 21 - Shrove Tuesday Celebration at Narrow Bar
Join us at Narrow Bar at 7pm as we celebrate the last day before the beginning of the season of Lent. Anyone is invited to come. We will meet at Canterbury at 7pm and then carpool to Narrow. For more information, click here.
February 22 - Ashes-to-Go in Free Speech Area
Join us in the Free Speech Area from 11am-1:30pm on Wednesday, February 22 as we administer ashes on Ash Wednesday. For more information, click here.
February 22 - Ash Wednesday Service and Community Meal
Join us on Wednesday, February 22 at 7pm for our Ash Wednesday Service at Canterbury Episcopal Campus Ministry at Texas Tech. What is Ash Wednesday? The first of the forty days of Lent, named for the custom of placing blessed ashes on the foreheads of worshipers at Ash Wednesday services. The ashes are a sign of penitence and a reminder of mortality, and may be imposed with the sign of the cross. Ash Wednesday is observed as a fast in the church year of the Episcopal Church.
February 23 - Starbuck's Office Hours
Join the chaplain and other Canterbury students this Thursday from 2pm-3pm at the Starbucks on Mac Davis Ln. across from campus. We will hang out, talk about our faith, do homework, and drink some coffee. Coffee is free, so come hang out anytime.
February 26 - The Journey: Exploring Spirituality, Theology, Ethics, Justice, and Mission
Join us for The Journey at 4:30pm on Sunday at Canterbury Episcopal Campus Ministry at Texas Tech. This is a time to casually discuss spirituality, theology, ethics, justice, and mission. This week, we will be talking about praying the rosary. If you are interested in asking serious questions about your faith, come and join us!

February 26 - Sunday Worship Service
Join us for worship at 6pm on Sunday at Canterbury Episcopal Campus Ministry at Texas Tech. We will worship together, and then we will share a home cooked meal served by the youth of the diocese. We look forward to worshipping with you!

Confirmation Classes - Would you like to learn more about your faith, or would you like to join the Episcopal Church? Our confirmation classes might be the right thing for you. If you are interested in attending a confirmation classes, let the chaplain know. You can call or text 575-631-5345.
Serve at the Altar - Would you like to serve at the altar or help to read during the service? Catch the chaplain after the service on Sunday to ask for training times or text at 575-631-5345.
Outreach to the Homeless and Working Poor in Lubbock - Would you like to minister to the homeless and working poor in Lubbock, TX? If so, talk to the chaplain about getting on a team for St. Benedict's chapel and soup kitchen. To learn more about St. Benedict's, click here.

Interested in a Key to the Building? - Canterbury policy states that active members of Canterbury who have attended consistently for at least one month may obtain a key from the chaplain. If you are interested, call or text the chaplain at 575-631-5345.
Do You Need Help? The Canterbury chaplain has a small discretionary fund to help students with food, living necessities, or emergencies. If you need help for any reason, please contact the chaplain at 575-631-5345.
