Weekly Activities

January 26 - We Aren't Strangers

Join us on Thursday night at 7pm for We Aren't Strangers.  This week, we will be going to Premiere Cinema in the mall to watch M3gan.  The movie begins at 7:40, so we will carpool from Canterbury at 7pm (sharp!).  Canterbury will cover food at the movies.  Come and join us!

A little about the movie:  M3GAN is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a lifelike doll that's programmed to be a child's greatest companion and a parent's greatest ally. Designed by Gemma, a brilliant roboticist, M3GAN can listen, watch and learn as it plays the role of friend and teacher, playmate and protector. When Gemma becomes the unexpected caretaker of her 8-year-old niece, she decides to give the girl an M3GAN prototype, a decision that leads to unimaginable consequences.

What is We Aren't Strangers? It will be a time for connection, belonging, sharing our stories, expressing our emotions, and the great thing about this event will be that it is open to all people. This is a space where all people can be fed physically, emotionally, and spiritually while at the same time honoring everyone’s faith traditions and gifts and light that we all bring to this community. And we promise that we will not try to convert you or change you. That is not the way we do things here. All we want to do is to know you, love, and support you as a student here at Texas Tech. 'Our conversation will be participant lead and all people who attend have a space to teach us about their gifts, interests, passions, faith, philosophy, life, and journey.

January 26 - The Journey: Exploring Spirituality, Theology, Ethics, Justice, and Mission

Join us for The Journey at 4:30pm on Sunday at Canterbury Episcopal Campus Ministry at Texas Tech.  This is a time to casually discuss spirituality, theology, ethics, justice, and mission.  This week, we will be talking about praying the rosary.  If you are interested in asking serious questions about your faith, come and join us!

January 15 - Taizé Contemplative Prayer Service

Join us for a Taizé Contemplative Prayer Service at 6pm at Canterbury Episcopal Campus Ministry at Texas Tech.  Our address is 2407 16th Street.  We are located just one block east of campus.   We will share a home cooked meal served by the wonderful Episcopalians from St. Christopher's.  We look forward to worshipping with you!
