October 9 - Day Trip to Amarillo

Meet at Canterbury at 7:45am to travel to Amarillo. We will begin our day in Amarillo at St. Andrew's where we will eat breakfast at 9:45am and then worship with the community at 10:30am. Following worship, we will tour St. Peter's garden on our way to Wildcat Bluff Nature Center for a 90 minute hike and tour by St. Andrew's member Mary Emeny. Following the hike, we will return to Amarillo to grab some dinner before heading home. We should be home before 8pm. We will be in the car for about 4 hours, so please feel free to bring your homework to work on in the car.

Please make sure to come prepared to hike. You will need some snacks for a light on-the-go lunch. Feel free to grab some snacks from Canterbury. You will also need between 1 and 2 liters of water for the hike. Wear good hiking shoes and check the weather to make sure you dress appropriately. It might be cold, but it might be hot. Layers might be the best for this time of year.
