September 29 - Starbuck's Office Hours
Join the chaplain and other Canterbury this Thursday afternoon from 12pm-3pm at the Starbucks on Mac Davis Ln. across from campus. We will hang out, talk about our faith, do homework, and drink some coffee. Coffee is free, so come hang out anytime during the afternoon.
September 29 - Canterbury Gardening Group
This summer, Canterbury planted a garden! We planted several tomato, pepper, herb, bean, and cucumber plants. If you are interested in helping the gardening group, please contact Hana 806-281-2959. We tend the garden at 6pm every Thursday. Feel free to show up and help any time. The time commitment will vary each week, but meeting should not last longer than 30 or so minutes.
September 29 - We Aren't Strangers
Join us this Thursday night at 7pm for a small meal and for a safe place to find community and belonging. It will be a time for connection, belonging, sharing our stories, expressing our emotions, and the great thing about this event will be that it is open to all people. This is a space where all people can be fed physically, emotionally, and spiritually while at the same time honoring everyone’s faith traditions and gifts and light that we all bring to this community. And we promise that we will not try to convert you or change you. That is not the way we do things here. All we want to do is to know you, love, and support you as a student here at Texas Tech. Come a join us! We meet at Canterbury House at 2407 16th Street, just one block from campus. This week, we are having a charcuterie board for dinner, and we will finish painting our welcome sign.
October 2 - Confirmation Class
Are you interested in learning more about the Episcopal Church or are you interested in joining the Episcopal Church? If you are, join us on Sunday afternoons at 4:30pm for the next six weeks. We will talk about the history of the Episcopal Church, our way of worship, our beliefs, and our call to be Christians who walk the way of love in the world. We meet upstairs at Canterbury. Come and join us!
October 2 - Contemplative Prayer Service Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
Join us for our Taizé Contemplative Prayer Service celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at 6pm. Following the service, we will share a home cooked meal served by the wonderful Episcopalians from St. Stephen's. We look forward to worshipping with you!
October 2 - Convention Meeting
For all the Caterburians who are going to Diocesan Convention on October 7 and 8, please do not forget that we have a meeting to prepare for the event on October 2, following the evening meal. This meeting is mandatory, as we will be talking about the convention schedule as well as the ends and outs of selling items and tabling. Please mark your calendars.

Outreach to the Homeless and Working Poor in Lubbock - Would you like to minister to the homeless and working poor in Lubbock, TX? If so, talk to the chaplain about getting on a team for St. Benedict's chapel and soup kitchen. To learn more about St. Benedict's, click here.

Interested in a Key to the Building? - Canterbury policy states that active members of Canterbury who have attended consistently for at least one month may obtain a key from the chaplain. If you are interested, call or text the chaplain at 575-631-5345.
Do You Need Help? The Canterbury chaplain has a small discretionary fund to help students with food, living necessities, or emergencies. If you need help for any reason, please contact the chaplain at 575-631-5345.
