November 22-26

Offices are Closed for Thanksgiving- The offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday from November 15-19; however, the chaplain will be in town.  If you need anything over the Thanksgiving break, don't hesitate to call or text the chaplain: 575-631-5345. 

November 26

Bible Study on Romans - Bible Study is cancelled this week.  We will resume the study on December 3 at 5pm.

November 28

Sunday Worship at Canterbury- Join us for worship at 6pm at Canterbury Episcopal Campus Ministry at Texas Tech.  Our address is 2407 16th Street.  We are located just one block east of campus.   We will share a home cooked meal served by the wonderful Episcopalians from St. Paul's.  We look forward to worshipping with you!  To read more about our worship services, click here.   

Coming Up Soon

 Study Break - December 2 - Study for your finals from 9am to 9pm on Thursday, December 2 at Canterbury.  We will provide a quiet place for you to study, and we will serve pizza for lunch at 12:30pm.  

Lessons and Carols and Christmas Party - December 5  - Today, we celebrate the coming of Christmas with our Advent Lessons and Carols service. During the service,scriptural readings are interspersed with choral presentations and hymn, all ofwhich recall mankind’s longing for liberation from sin and death, and our hopeand expectation for the both the first and second coming of Christ the Lord. Following the service,Canterbury will celebrate the end of the year and the coming of Christmas. We will do a white elephant gift exchange during the party, along with festive treats and games. We will also honor our graduates today as well.

Confirmation Classes - Would you like to learn more about your faith, or would you like to join the Episcopal Church?  Our confirmation classes might be the right thing for you.  If you are interested in attending a confirmation classes, let the chaplain know.  You can call or text 575-631-5345.

Serve at the Altar - Would you like to serve at the altar or help to read during the service? Catch the chaplain after the service on Sunday to ask for training times or text at 575-631-5345.

Outreach to the Homeless and Working Poor in Lubbock - Would you like to minister to the homeless and working poor in Lubbock, TX? If so, talk to the chaplain about getting on a team for St. Benedict's chapel and soup kitchen.  To learn more about St. Benedict's, click here.
