 Bible Study on Romans - CANCELED DUE TO DIOCESAN CONVENTION.  We will resume on Friday, November 5.

October 31

All Hallow's Eve Eucharist and Halloween Party - Join us for worship at 6pm at Canterbury Episcopal Campus Ministry at Texas Tech.  Today, we will celebrate Halloween with a Halloween Eucharist.  All students are encouraged to come in their costumes.   Following our All Hallow's Eve Service, join with us as we carve pumpkins, play games, eat dinner, eat lots of candy, listen to spooky music, and party together. The festivities will begin at 7pm at Canterbury House, 2407 16th Street. 

Also, don't forget to bring items and pictures of your loved ones to put on the ofrenda!  You can put pictures, food, or items on the ofrenda through November 7.

St. Paul's Thrift House Annual Fall Sale -  November 6 - St. Paul's Episcopal Church, located across the street from Canterbury at 1508 Ave X is having a huge sale.  They have clothes, shoes, housewares, and more.  If you would like to visit the sale but don't have any money, ask the chaplain about a money voucher.  

All Saints Day Celebration - November 7 - All Saint's Day commemorates all saints, known and unknown. It is one of the seven principal feasts of the church year, and one of the four days recommended for the administration of baptism.  It is customary to pray for the departed during the service.  If you have any relatives or friends that you would like to add to the list of the faithful departed, please email your list to ttucanterbury@gmail.com. The Rev. Rachel Petty from St. Christopher's Episcopal Church will be preaching, and members of St. Paul's will be bringing the Sunday evening meal following the service.  Please join us!

Taize and Healing Service - November 14 - Join us for a Taizé  Contemplative Prayer Service at 6pm at Canterbury Episcopal Campus Ministry at Texas Tech.  We will share a home cooked meal served by the wonderful Episcopalians from St. Paul's.  We look forward to worshipping with you!  Taizé Prayer is evening prayer for all Christian faiths. It is a simple, meditative form of worship, calling us to dwell deeply on Christ's presence around and within us. Mantra songs (like "Jesus, Remember Me"), prayerful silence, and short readings guide the focus of the prayer in a candle-lit environment.

Confirmation Classes - Would you like to learn more about your faith, or would you like to join the Episcopal Church?  Our confirmation classes might be the right thing for you.  If you are interested in attending a confirmation classes, let the chaplain know.  You can call or text 575-631-5345.

Serve at the Altar - Would you like to serve at the altar or help to read during the service? Catch the chaplain after the service on Sunday to ask for training times or text at 575-631-5345.

Outreach to the Homeless and Working Poor in Lubbock - Would you like to minister to the homeless and working poor in Lubbock, TX? If so, talk to the chaplain about getting on a team for St. Benedict's chapel and soup kitchen.  To learn more about St. Benedict's, click here.
