October 1

 Bible Study on Romans - Come and join us for an in-depth study of Paul's Epistle to the Romans. The study will take place upstairs at Canterbury at 5pm on Fridays.  For more information about our Bible study, click here. 

October 3

Blessing of the Animals - Join us on Sunday, October 3 at 5:30pm at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church where we will have a Blessing of the Animals. Of course, bring along your beloved companion/ friend/ pet for a blessing! 4 Legged Friends dog rescue group will also be our guests and will bring along some pups for the students to care for during that time. We will collect Purina Pro Plan PUPPY food, paper towels, and bleach for 4 Legged Friends Rescue. St. Stephen's will feed the TTU Canterbury students and 4 Legged Friends guests after the blessing. Please bring your furry friends and join us for a fun day at St. Stephen's.  Even if you don't have furry friends, please come and enjoy a fun time with all the animals.   [Note:  We will not meet at Canterbury on Sunday for regular services.]

TTU Football Fundraiser: TTU v. TCU - Saturday, October 9 - One of the ways that Canterbury supports our ministry is through a variety of fundraisers each year. Please sign up for these fundraisers so that we can have funds to go on trips and do fun things. Today, we will be selling parking for the football game. We will meet at Canterbury two hours before kick-off and will finish up just after kick-off. You will still have plenty of time to go to the game. If you are helping, please make sure to prepare for the weather. Hot days can be really hot, so make sure to bring a hat, sun screen, water, and cool clothes. On cold days, make sure to bring jacket and arrive early so that you can make some hot chocolate, tea, or coffee to keep you warm. Time: TBA

Confirmation Classes - Would you like to learn more about your faith, or would you like to join the Episcopal Church?  Our confirmation classes might be the right thing for you.  If you are interested in attending a confirmation classes, let the chaplain know.  You can call or text 575-631-5345.

Serve at the Altar - Would you like to serve at the altar or help to read during the service? Catch the chaplain after the service on Sunday to ask for training times or text at 575-631-5345.

Outreach to the Homeless and Working Poor in Lubbock - Would you like to minister to the homeless and working poor in Lubbock, TX? If so, talk to the chaplain about getting on a team for St. Benedict's chapel and soup kitchen.  To learn more about St. Benedict's, click here.
